1. When did you start Hot Yoga and why?
My first Bikram class was on April 2010, I remember it like it was yesterday, I had no idea what to expect, but I was looking for a yoga class that would bring me some relaxation, peace of mind, to release some unwanted emotions and a deep level of stress.
2. What made you decide to become a Yoga teacher and when did you graduate?
I decided to become a Bikram yoga teacher after experiencing the enormous benefits of this practice. I believe you can’t teach if you don’t learn and you can’t learn if you don’t teach. My intention its to go as deep into this experience as I can and now being a teacher is a way to expand my awareness and knowledge about yoga and share with my students.
I completed my teacher training in Fall 2014 at a magical location in Thailand and it was the most rewarding and challenging experience I have ever had.
3. How has Bikram changed your life?
This powerful yoga has healed me and transformed my life in so many different ways; spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. Yoga has taught me to have mindfulness, to look at life in more positive way and to understand the connection between body and mind and how much our constant mind chatter can affect our wellbeing.
4. What is your favourite Bikramizm?
Any action is often better than no action, especially if you have been stuck in an unhappy situation for a long time. If it is a mistake, at least you learn something, in which case it’s no longer a mistake. If you remain stuck, you learn nothing.
5. What is something non related to Bikram that you are proud of?
Becoming a health coach and now studying Masters in Metaphysics teacher training.
